in san leandro. first there bridges at the toll plaza at the bay bridge and metering lights and just activated as we start to see a back up to the westbound ride. we are still and delivery on the upper deck of the bridge. the san mateo bridge ride no problems, as moves commute westbound. the golden gate bridge ride an easy one from 1 01 marin county southbound. san leandro potential hot spot. it is funny because we've had several problems in this location over the last several days. an unusual to see so many. i've got many reports of an answer that on 238 or hear on t880. the problem is most likely at 80 northbound because we're seeing some back up. the accident on 238 would not have an impact on the northbound 80 ride. it is already slowing from 83. a potential hot spot for the ride through hayward and also san leandro on 238 and 80 northbound. as more information is available i will reported to you. >> we had a great month on wall street and january and investors will be looking to see of the nasdaq and climb back into positive territory on the last trading day of this week. the s&

shooting at the bayfair bart station in san leandro closed the station all afternoon while police investigated. elizabeth wenger is at the station. >> reporter: at this point, the bart station at bayfair is still closed. they're set to reopen it any minute. just a few minutes ago, we saw a train run through without stopping. this all happened around noon. since that time, the bart station was shut down. that is about five hours now. it happened at this bus zone just adjacent to the station. we talked about police. they say multiple shots rang out. and that's when one african- american male in his 40's was killed. another female victim, non-life- threatening injuries. so she is supposed to be okay. police say they do have one suspect in custody. that person, again, in custody at this point. but they're not sure about others that may still be on the loose. there were also several witnesses to the crime. and surveillance video that was taken on a nearby transit bus that may give them some clues. at this point, we still don't have a motive. polic

in front of a san leandro bart station yesterday may have been an innocent bystander. kron4's maureen kelly has the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: it was near this ac tranist bus stop outside the bayfair bart station that the shooting happened. you can still see bright orange paint marking where evidence was collected.some on the benches where people wait. this is video taken shortly after the the gunfire broke out just after noon on saturday.bart police say it happened after two groups of roughly 3-4 people got into an argument and then both groups started firing at each other. in the end.more than a dozen shell casings were collected at the scene. at least one of the bullet hit a 50 year old man.killing him.police say it doesn't appear that he had anything to do with the confrontation that erupted so violently. a woman was also injuredshe has been treated and released from the hospital. police say they are looking to talk to herand could not say if she had any connection to the groups who were fighting. one possible suspect was taken into custody.and the search is on for the ot

of foothill boulevard in san leandro. we're live with the details. reporter: it's quite a mess out here. in fact, take a look at this. this is not a river. this is actually foothill boulevard. northbound lanes were shut down for an hour between carolyn and manchester due to a water main break. chp have just re-opened the road. it sent a lot of water gushing out, down foothill boulevard. the source of the break is two blocks from where we are. chp says it's a pipe which carries water from chabot reservoir. crews have been shutting the water off. no homes, no property has been flooded. we're about a block from the 580 onramp. we're told in water was flooding on to the freeway. we have not seen any of that. just a couple of very large puddles. and as i just said, foothill boulevard has re-opened here in san san lee san lee an -- san leandro. the water main appears to be shut off. >> ama: now to another developing story tonight out of sap lee an dough. a shooting near a bart station killed one person and injured another. happened near the bay fair station. that's where tomas roman is tonigh

across the bay area. in the east bay, san leandro and hayward and castro valley and union city is getting some wet roadways right now and down the peninsula lighter showers from san mateo and across 92 and heading down toward belmont and san carlos. we have light to moderate rain in the san jose area. heading out toward alan rock, it is definitely on the wet side. the system will slowly wind down and we will see showers for the morning hours. in the sierra nevada they are starting to get some snow. it is coming up from the south, and you can see it is a mild storm. it is resulting in the possibility of a couple inches of snow. not expected to be a big snow maker. the snow levels are running high and it will be above 7,000 feet. the temperatures right now are 40s and 50s. it was certainly a cooler day today. the visibility as you will notice with some fog developing down to 3 miles in novato. when you head out the door you will not only face the showers, but the fog. so keep that in mind. the rain continues overnight and damp for the morning drive and a chance of rain for this weekend. do
